Scam On The Net...A Clever And Dishonest Way To Steal Your Money

money-woman

Scam...is the dishonest way of obtaining your "hard earned" money by trick. A place swindlers reap where they didn't sow.

It's a scheme that defrauds people... of their money with the promise of instant wealth without effort.

If you've ever wanted to be your own boss i.e. work from home or earn some extra income online?

Or you've been touted by those powerfully worded ads promising you great rewards for little-or-no work?

Better yet...have you ever bought into some of those 'promises' only to find out they aren't true and got ripped off?

Then, you've been scammed. And it's as old as the Internet itself.

And so...

"Beware Of Fraudster, They Get You Scammed On The Net!"

One volatile area fraught with scam and fraudsters is the Internet.

Everyday, reports have it that people are defrauded and cheated out of large amounts of money.

The fact remains that working from home and making significant income online has never been this attractive. With Stay-at-home-mums, retirees, downsized and even 9-5 making substantial money in the Net.

This's lured a huge number of consumers to the business opportunities sector of the Internet.

As a result of this surge, fraudsters take undue advantage and figure out ways of profiting unfairly and unjustly from the ignorance of innocent victims. Especially the newbies.

The other factor swindlers are having a field day is the lack of enforcement of laws...that prohibit scam on the Net.

Agreed, there're bureaus here and there to protect consumers from scam and unfair business practices, their impact is just like a drop in the bucket.

And 'begs' the question: "why does this menace catch-up with a lot of people?..."

"Powerful Ads! The Dangled Carrot That Gets Your Money"

Ads are the major means this unscrupulous scammers use in getting across to you. They entice you with powerfully worded ads that don’t give you room to retreat.

Most times, these ads reach you from the classified pages of daily or weekly newspapers and magazines. Not only that, they equally use websites, TV infomercial, commercial and other means with wider coverage to bait you.

"The baits are similar!"... phantom promises of mega success overnight with little-or-no work thereby misleading you -- the unsuspecting innocent victim...

Meanwhile, their only goal is to get your money, laugh at your ignorance and look for the next prey.

The greatest damage is the terrible harm it does to legit online bizs.

Now, the question is "how do you get protected against this Internet menace?"

Common Sense & Research ... Get You Over The Hurdle

Your strongest protection against this menace is to use your common sense and do your homework by carrying out a comprehensive research on the program before you make any upfront investment.

The good news is that not all work-at-home opportunities are fraudulent. Many are still honest and won't rip you off, but majority are scam.

At least 99% are.

So, how do you identify those counterfeits?

The truth is, spotting a fraudulent biz opportunity isn't always easy, but at least, you can follow these clues:

The first thing is to be wise as the "serpent" and "meek" as the dove online. And if it sounds too good to be true, most likely it's a scam.

Like I said earlier, the best defense?...do your homework well. And one way I do that is to personally interview other people who've bought into the programs. On the other hand, if I don't live in the same vicinity, I ask a friend or relative to check out their office and ask questions on my behalf.

But a word of caution...

No matter how enticing it sounds, restrain yourself. Take a deep breathe and don't rush to take action.

Why?

Because these fraudsters use high-pressure sales tactics to get you to take immediate action. They work on your emotions.

Looking at from another point, if the program is legit, it'll always be there whenever you're ready to go on board. Moreover, there's no shortcut to the need to work hard to build a real biz, one that'd endure and grow...

And, please don't fall for their Get Rich Quick Scheme

Therefore, get yourself insured by following these simple steps...

Simple Steps To Protect You From Online Scam!

To survive their pressure, you just need to be alert and avoid unnecessary risks. Following these simple tips will help protect you from them, at least:
  • Don't use your laptop to conduct financial transactions over public wireless hotspots.
  • Avoid conducting personal financial biz on shared or public computers such as in an Internet cafe or a public library.
  • If you must use public computer, don't save your passwords or user IDs on the browser. Always make sure to log out of all websites, clear the browser’s cache and history, and close the browser. This makes it harder for them to see what you've done.
  • Make sure your Internet browser is up-to-date and that your computer has the latest security patches.
  • Protect your privacy against spyware or malware by installing established spyware blockers.

What's more...using these tips gives you some peace of mind that allows you sleep with your two eyes closed.

Another terrible scheme people easily fall for is called "Phishing"

'Phishing' -- pronounced as 'fishing', is an email fraud that uses unsolicited emails to try to steal your personal and financial info.

Phishing exposes how these callous fraudsters trick you to give them your confidential info...

Ok, let's wrap-up...

And, finally, If you've been scammed or suspect a biz opportunity to be fraudulently motivated, the best place to report is here... Report A Scam Here(Opens in another Browser). It's a website that points you to list of various countries, offices and firms charged with dealing with scam related offences.

You'll agree with me that this is a very big Internet problem...in fact, it's as old as the Net.

You can only reduce its menace by using the above anti-dote...
